Company Profile ANL is the Australian-based shipping company that specialises in moving your product between Australia and just about anywhere. Together with our parent company CMA CGM, ANL is able to offer shipping services to all worldwide destinations, including Europe, Mediterranean, North Africa, Pacific Islands, North America, Asia and many other places. The CMA CGM Group is a global carrier, having 80 vessels in its fleet operating in all major East/West and North/South trade lanes. In addition, there are over 240,000 containers at your disposal to transport your goods and over 3,000 staff providing impeccable service levels. Company History ANL's History dates back to 1956, since the establishment of the Australian Coastal Shipping Commission. Recent history has been recorded here. 2001 On the 22nd July 2001, Geo H. Scales was appointed to represent ANL in New Zealand for the new Tranztas service. Tranztas vessels call Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington and Lyttleton, with transhipment cargo to/from Adelaide, Fremantle and Tasmania via Melbourne and to/from Brisbane via Sydney. In October, 2001 ANL moved to a weekly, fixed day, service between Australia and Papua New Guinea. The service incorporates weekly calls at Brisbane, Port moresby and Lae, with cargo to/from Melbourne and Sydney feedered via multiple ANL services over Brisbane. 1998 CMA CGM bought the naming rights of ANL Limited from the Australian Government. On the 9th of December 1998, Mr John Lines was appointed the Managing Director of ANL Container Line Pty Limited.
