Working Steadily to Create Japan's Safest Shipping System The Japanese oil industry has in recent times seen steady market liberalization and globalization. In these changing times, the right corporate policies govern the very survival of an enterprise. To keep abreast of these changing trends, Asahi Tanker Co., Ltd. made a corporate decision to establish operational bases in Asia-Pacific region whilst conserving its internal reserves. In this present age, of paramount importance to us is improving the quality of our staff and hence the enterprise. Accident prevention is the benchmark by which the quality of a tanker company is judged. To achieve our goal of creating Japan's safest shipping system, we continue to strive tirelessly under my supervision as the Director of the Safety Division. In conducting our operations for close to half a century, we have always considered ourselves as sharing the fate of our customers. We sincerely wish to bequeath these achievements and ideas to the future generation. Concurrently however, we will strive to become an enterprise sharing the respect and trust of our respected customers. We sincerely do hope we can count on your warm support and encouragement in the future.
