Our Mission is to be recognized by our Nordic and worldwide customers as the undisputed leader in liner agency services to the shipping industry. We aim to achieve this by establishing close long term relationships with our Customers and Principals, enabling us to anticipate and cater for their needs, and whenever possible, to exceed their expectations. Dasena Agencies was established in 1991 and emerged as the result of a venture between 3 leading Danish Liner Agency companies. The challenge was to provide Owner Principals - and the local shipping community - a lean, skilled and cost effective agency organization capable of penetrating into the Nordic Markets. The management is located in Aarhus, Denmark. All Dasena offices are sales offices offering highly diversified customer services, whereas basic operational activities such as marketing, pricing, documentation, logistics, accounting and finance for all Group companies are centralized at the Copenhagen offices. Big enough to cope - small enough to care ... This set-up enables Dasena Agencies to ensure that all documentation is handled with constant care and accuracy in a cost effective manner - and to provide our Principals easy access and feed-back from the Nordic markets by maintaining contact to ONE partner only. We count amongst our clients the most prominent Nordic Corporations representing a cross section of all im- and exporters. They have enthusiastically supported Dasena Agencies over the past years within developed long-term relationships. Additionally, Dasena Agencies have been very successful in securing large-scale support from the Freight Forwarders. All key personnel involved with sales and operations have extensive proven experience in liner shipping services - containerized as well as conventional cargo, turn-key and project shipments. Dasena Agencies use up-to-date facilities and tools within internal as well external communications, in addition to advanced data- and document handling to ensure that goods and documents are handled with constant accuracy. Dasena Agencies are on-line connected with our Owner Principals. 1 Dasena Agencies act as Agents or as intermediary only on behalf of the respective Carriers, who in the term carry out the transport in accordance with their own Conditions of Carriage. All services rendered are subject to the General Conditions for members of the Danish or Swedish Shipbrokers Association, including the conditions for lien on, respectively a right of detention of goods and/or equipment - and the liability to pay damages is limited to an amount not exceeding Dkk 50.000 in any single instance/case. Furthermore all additional services rendered by Dasena Agencies are subject to the General Conditions of the Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders (NSAB 2000). Under these conditions our liability for loss of, deterioration of or damage to the goods is limited to SDR 8.33 per kg and our liability for delay is limited to an amount not exceeding SDR 50.000 per order. In connection with storage , the freight forwarder's total liability for damage is limited to SDR 500.000 for any incident of damage occurred (clause 27) Special attention is directed to the stipulations that claims against the freight forwarders are statute-barred after one year (clause 30) and that the lien on goods (clause 14) applies to both current and previous claims. Claims for freight etc. must be honored regardless of the terms of delivery under the contract of sale or freight agreement (clause 10). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Freight quotations, transport, freight invoicing and currency conversion according to the stipulations of the Carrier or the Conference in question, respectively. If the freight amount is not duly paid , the Shipper and/or Forwarder is liable for loss on exchanges in case of devaluation/ revaluation. The calculated and/or invoiced freight may be adjusted if further measuring or weighing of the cargo result in differences against measurements/weights declared by Shipper. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 The Freight is due for payment on the earliest of the following dates - either the date cargo is received by Dasena - or the date of issue of the Bill of Lading. If the time allowed for Payment is exceeded, the Shipper will be charged 2% interest per month commenced in addition to compensation for loss on exchanges in case of devaluation/revaluation. Shipper and Forwarding Agent - and Consignee and Forwarding Agent respectively are jointly and severally liable for the payment of the Freight, corrections hereof and interests accrued.
