The Brostr m Logistics Index (BLX) includes presently six Swedish and foreign companies with operations in the transport and logisticssector. The BLX is daily updated and is based on the final price paid in EUR on the day before. The year-to-date change of the Brostr m Logistics Index (BLX) in relation to the Brostr m share price development: The purpose of the index is to facilitate understanding and analysis of Brostr m and thereby contribute to a fair evaluation of the company's shares. The background is the change that the market for product and chemical tanker shipping is going through as a result of the significant restructuring among customers in the oil and chemical industry. These changes mean a clearer focus on the service content in the form of transport and logistics, which makes comparisons with traditional crude oil tanker shipping companies less relevant. The Brostr m Logistics Index was launched in autumn 1999. A slight adjustment was made on 1 January 2002 when two new companies, OMI Corporation and Stelmar Shipping, replaced two companies that were de-listed from their respective exchanges. To mark the amended composition the BLI abbreviation was changed to BLX. At the beginning of 2003 a decision was taken to remove VTG-Lehnkering AG from the index due to the company's de-listing. In January 2005 Stelmar was acquired by Overseas Shipholding Group and the Stelmar share de-listed and is therefore no longer part of the BLX portfolio. Following the launch of the Brostr m index in 1999 the company has seen its shares far exceed the index up to and including 2001. The greatest difference was seen in 2001 when Brostr m's shares forged ahead 128 per cent while the BLX grew by a mere 1.3 per cent. During 2002 Brostr m shares fell somewhat more than the BLX. Seen over the whole period the development of Brostr m shares has been much better than the index.
