Maersk Gabon S.A. is a brand new organisation incorporated in September 2003. Maersk Sealand has been active in Gabon since our first vessel call at Libreville in 1997 with our interests represented by GETMA Gabon. Maersk Gabon S.A. offers full container import and export service, local handling and delivery via our sub-contractor, GETMA Gabon and part load import service through our Maersk Logistics / Combitainer operation. We are also the agents for Maersk Supply Services and Svitzer Weismuller. Maersk Sealand serves the main Gabonese ports of Owendo, Libreville and Port Gentil. To Libreville we have direct fortnightly services from north Europe and from South Africa, while Port Gentil is served by a fortnightly feeder from Abidjan, Ivory Coast. All these vessels are controlled by the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group. Maersk Gabon S.A. has four expatriate and five Gabonese staff with wide and varied experience. Our strong links with GETMA Gabon ensure that we have an active presence locally in Gabon with trucks and handling equipment available on demand. We keep a stock of empty equipment in Gabon to ensure we can provide containers as our customers require them. In short, Maersk Gabon S.A. is a new and forward looking organisation, with a strong local infrastructure and the full resources of the Maersk Sealand global network to allow us to provide a second to none service in Gabon.
