Freight, container tracking, door-to-door delivery Universal Shipping Agency | Company company service main routes reqest container sales about containers incoterms container tracking currency converter refrigerator service contacts Company Universal Shipping Agency started its operations in St. Petersburg in 1995. St. Petersburg's port is the largest transport hub in northwestern Russia. This "window to Europe" handles yearly millions of tons of different cargoes: imports into Russia, export shipments of domestic manufacturers, and transits. Dozens of ships are being loaded and unloaded every day in the St. Petersburg Port, including ships of by large ocean lines ensuring intercontinental traffic, those of feeder carriers serving neighboring European countries and those of shipowners operating on individual destinations. On the other hand, cargoes arrive at the port or leave it by road or by rail. The job of a forwarding company is to organize the whole process of shipping the cargo. Coordinating the work among different modes of transport (road, rail, sea), meeting the requirements of sea ports, taking into account the needs of our customers and offering all the necessary additional services is where our company's staff are experts. We provide the full range of services not only in the St. Petersburg Port but also in such large European ports as Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerpen and Rotterdam as well as in the ports of Baltic countries and Finland. We know that in any business related to the export or import of goods transportation is an essential and often decisive factor in the process of making contracts and evaluating the pros and cons of a foreign trade operation. Therefore, we offer you services based on our knowledge of the Russian and international shipping market, of the requirements of world ports, on our connections with all the major shipping lines, on the use of different modes of ground transportation allowing to choose the best method of shipment, which ultimately permits you to minimize your transportation costs. Using Universal Shipping Agency' services, you won't need to care any more about your shipments and will be able to focus on your core business. You will be confident that your cargo will be delivered to the right place, exactly on time and in compliance with all the shipping requirements specific to your cargo. These include such line giants as Maersk Sea-Land, OOCL, CMA-CGM and MSC as well as lesser-known but much more flexible lines such as Lykes Lines (USA) or Senator Lines (Germany). Long-standing connections allow us to handle cargoes not only in the St. Petersburg port but also in such large European ports as Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Rotterdam, in the ports of Baltic countries and in Finland. Years-long relationships with shipping lines based on our wide professional experience as an agency and a high volume of cargoes shipped enable us to offer our clients exclusive sea charter rates, which we see as the foundation for successful business. Port In any of the world's ports, including St. Petersburg's, there are different terminals designed to handle various types of cargoes and differing in their operating procedures, paperwork, throughput capacity and storage areas, shipping schedules, methods of cargo supply, peculiarities of customs procedures, and service rates. Taking into account the specific features of each terminal and the general scheme of your shipment and depending on the range of services you need, our experts will select the right terminal that is best for you from every point of view. Working with terminals on exclusive terms, we offer our customers minimum rates for the handling of cargoes in the port, which include all the necessary services: acceptance of cargoes in the port in containers, open-top or canvass-topped trucks or railroad cars; repacking of cargoes from any mode of transport into shipping containers under the customs oversight, as well as unpacking; weighing of cargoes and recount of packages. Preparation of survey or acts; repacking of cargoes, palleting; storage of cargoes in the port in fully-equipped warehouses and container terminals; customs clearance of cargoes; in-port movement of cargoes; preparation and submission of in-port and transit customs documents; presentation of cargoes for customs control; loading/unloading onto/from ships/trucks/railroad flat-cars. Carriage by land Our transportation department provides road haulage services using the fleet of trucks of our subsidiary ZAO INKOT. Such tandem allows us to offer our customers minimum rates also for the ground transportation of cargoes. We carry standard, heavy-weight and dangerous cargoes and deliver goods to Russian importers under customs control in accordance with the DKD (Delivery Control Document) and TIR-Carnet procedures. We also use vehicles of the most reputable St. Petersburg road haulage companies which can guarantee on-time container delivery and cargo safety. When trucks are supplied to other Russian cities, we offer 48 hours of free waiting time at the customer's site. In case of export shipments by rail we accept the cargo from the shipper either in a railroad car or in a container from the Railroad Ministry park on a Free On Rail (FOR) basis at the site of loading, we pay railroad tariffs and keep track of the movement of the cargo until it reaches the St. Petersburg Port via railroad stations Avtovo or Novy Port. In case of import we ensure delivery to the FOR station of the recipient on similar terms. Other services Once involved in the freight forwarding process, the customer begins to pay attention to such "subtleties" as the quality of service, notably, promptness of information, resolution of out-of-the-ordinary situations, efficiency in dealing with authorities, paperwork and document management, speed of cargo movement through all the stages of the shipment, cargo safety guarantees, coordination among different modes of transport, and additional services. All these and many other problems are successfully resolved by our specialists. We provide assistance in clearing cargoes through the customs (both import and export) and take care of cargo insurance against all kinds of risks (with domestic and foreign insurance companies) throughout the cargo's shipping route or on its individual sections, ensure the security and accompany the cargo in the territory of Russia and CIS countries, monitor the movement of the cargo, and much more Home | Company | Service | Main routes | Request | Container sales About containers | Incoterms | Container tracking | Currency comverter | Contacts Universal Shipping Agency | The whole process of shipping the cargo.
