Company profile The company Janus Andersen & Co. was established in the year 1918 when captain Janus Andersen completed his career at sea and went ashore. His idea was to rely on the experience he had received after several years at sea combined with danish sea tradition. Until 1951 the company was situated in Aalborg on the south side og the Limfjord, but from 1951 the company moved to the "Sunny-side" in Noerresundby on the north side of the Limfjord located on the quay-side with an exclusive sight over the Limfjord. Originaly the company was based on ownership and management of small danish coasters but as from 1985, when the present two owners mr. Henning Lanng and mr. Niels Sohn Christensen took over the company the company has until today developed into a modern and highly upgrated company, with an experienced and well educated staff, ready to provide all customers a comprehensive service within all aspects of shipping 24hrs a day 7 days a week. The main activities of the company are: Managing owners of 7 danish coasters, ranging from 500dwcc upto 2,200dwcc., including specialised sideport palletcarriers. Exclusive chartering broker for 4 other coasters. Agency in the ports of Noerresundby, Aalborg, Hals, Logstoer and Aggersund - also including stevedoring and warehousing. World wide chartering, especialy for our exclusive traders, mainly steelscrap, but also working as competitive broker.
