Location 55 27' N, 12 12' E. At the head of K ge Bay, facing the Baltic Sea. 40 km south of Copenhagen. Direct access to the European motorway system. Navigation Max. loa 165 m, beam 25 m, draft 6.7 m. The harbour is fully accessible day and night and is not normally affected by ice in the winter period. No tides. Pilot is available from the Sound Pilot Station, VHF channel 16. Tug assistance is available. Click to enlarge map. Facilities 1500 m quay. Warehouses and open areas for storage of general and bulk cargoes. Tank installations for oil, gas, chemicals, asphalt and other liquids. 2 RO/RO berths. Several fixed and mobile cranes fitted for grabs, containers, etc., with lifting capacity up to 36 tons, forklifts, loading conveyor belts, and other stevedoring equipment are available. The harbour has railway tracks along the quays. Services International airport, railway station, hospital, customs, post office, weighbridge, etc. Bunker and lube oil, electricity, freshwater, etc. can be supplied.
