MMC's excellent pool of quality officers and crew is a product of concerted efforts in the recruitment, screening, selection and maintenance of each principal's fleet pool. They undergo careful screening based on the highest standards of qualifications set by both MMC and their respective principals. MMC assigns a fleet staff exclusively dedicated for each principal to manage the principal's pool of seafarers. Essential complementary services include: Medical Examination and Documents Processing All seafarers undergo pre-employment medical examination at accredited medical clinics. When declared fit to work, the seafarer is assisted by MMC's Documentation section in processing his/her documents. Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar & Briefing Before joining their vessels, all seafarers attend a comprehensive seminar that orients and familiarizes them with the terms of their contract, benefits, code of discipline and general responsibilities as seafarers. Allotment Payroll and Billing MMC maintains a computerized system that generates monthly allotment payrolls and billing for the principals. Care for Crew and Family MMC also sees to the welfare of the seafarers and their families during their service.A Family Center, specially organized to meet their needs, handles their inquiries and requests. Seaman Management Information System (SMIS) A comprehensive databank of each seafarer in the pool. Crew Training Each seafarer that passes rigid screening undergo further training in MMC's training centers, based on principal's requirements and flag state requirements.
