About us Atlas Copco Craelius The Atlas Copco Craelius division is a full supplier of equipment for core drilling and ground engineering applications. The division manufactures computerised semi-automatic and manually operated core-drilling rigs, which are primarily used for exploration drilling to locate new ore bodies for the mining industry. Exploration drilling is also required to investigaste the geological conditions prior to construction work. The division is a major world-wide supplier of consumables such as diamond drill bits and tubular products for core drilling applications. The ground engineering rigs and consumables are used mainly for ground reinforcement, in applications like tie-back anchoring, piling, underpinning as well as for geotechnical surveys. Grouting and drilling for grouting is an important area for the Atlas Copco Craelius division. During the grouting operation, grout is injected under pressure into rock, soil and cavaties to seal and strengthen the structure in e.g. dams, tunnels, foundation and construction work. Atlas Copco's operations are conducted through 16 Divisions in the business areas Compressor Technique, Construction and Mining Technique, Industrial Technique, and Rental Service. In the Atlas Copco Group a Division is the highest level of operational responsibility.
