Wallem has established a representative office in Shanghai in 1988, the main business being to provide Protective Agency Services. Five (5) more representative offices have been opened as from 1993 in Tianjin, Qingdao, Dalian, Xiamen and Beijing to cater for business expansion. We have experienced staff, as well as good connections with local Port Authorities, State Agents, Stevedores, Trucking Companies, Insurance/Survey Institution, Container Depots, and cargo interests which support us in providing the efficient and reliable maritime related services. We are now active in regular liner services for both containers and break bulk cargoes, as well as equipment handling and cargo canvassing. Six (6) representative offices plus sub-agents and contractors are well distributed in all important ports in PRC for supporting the principals' requirement. We would further brief our activites as below: protective agency for tramp vessels, to ensure the smooth, cost effective and time saving operation in PRC Ports. to conclude the QDA, Quick Dispatch Agreement with local Port Authorities and ensure quick turnaround of vessels in port. to provide supercargo service for loading vessel up to maximum capacity. to ensure the proper documentation of all vessels + cargoes. general agent for liner container vessels. cargo canvassing and inventory control. to arrange cleaning/repairing of all kinds of containers up to the required standard and obtained the certificate if required. to co-ordinate with quialified surveyor for inspection of cargoes and vessels and arrange pre-loading survey; to arrange laboratory test for identification of cargo's quality case need. Our extremely good relationship with the local agents, freight forwarder, chemicals plants, shippers, survey companies and the local Officials are stand us in good position to handle all the maritime related matters for and on behalf the entrusting parties.
