Anodes Nautilus&#trade; Group - Engineering Division Mechanical Seals - New & Refurbished The Group is specially good at supplying high quality mechanical seals manufactured by specialists in India - for all applications ranging from small pumps and compressors to the largest Cargo Oil Pumps. The prices get more and more competitive as the seal size gets bigger. The Group can normally quote based upon the make and model of the existing seal if it is a well-known brand. Alternatively, a measurement chart is available for a quick check with the ship's staff by fax. Components can be airfreighted to any part of the world at relatively short notice These seals have been marketed for over 20 years now. The Group provides refurbishing services with the use of high quality lapping machines and light band testing equipment for refurbishing seals up to 225mm dia. in Sharjah. Seals are also airfreighted to the factory in India for refurbishing. Purifiers The Group used to market purifier spares obtained from Alfa Laval, India and smaller suppliers. The group continues to maintain good relations with them. Due to this past experience the Group, through Nautilus™ Bombay, is able to arrange the purchase of second hand Alfa Laval purifiers from shipbreakers in India for complete refurbishing and supply with one years consumable spares. This service is especially useful for VLCC's and ULCC's that are mostly quite old now, and where the purchase of a brand new purifier is not justifiable in case a requirement arises. Since many of the largest tankers have been scrapped in India, very large purifiers are often available. The Group also has excellent relations with Westphalia Separators also. Cement The Group deals in bulk cement and can quote competitvely for cement of Greek origin. The Group also has offers for Portland Cement and Clinker. Coking Coal The Group deals in good grade coking coal of Chinese and Spanish origin. Diesel & Fuel Oil The Group trades in low sulphur Refined Oils of CIS origin. The Groups products are 'Type Approval' certified by the American Bureau Of Shipping and are listed on page 137 of the ABS manual. Anchors & Cables As associates of Zheng Mao Group Ltd., China, a dedicated Anchor and Chain manufacturer, who in turn are part of a steel manufacturing group; and Jingjiang Anchor Chain Factory China, the Group can offer Anchors and Chain Cables from 12.5mm to 90mm with ABS, LRS, GL, RINA, GL, BV, DNV, NK, KR and CCS Class certificates directly from the manufacturer at competitive prices in all material ranges suitable for ships and offshore craft. Catering Management The Group has a Shipchandling Division and it's own brand of food products under the Golden Eagle label. Nautilus™ Bombay offers ship and fleet personnel management. So the Group is fully qualified to provide very high quality catering management with experienced and qualified chefs in charge. While the Group prefers vessels that operate into the Middle East, there is no restriction on the business the Group will accept from Owners who wish to serve their staff good food. Catering Management can extend to laundry management also since the saloon staff will normally be entirely supplied by us. Cathodic Hull Protection All types, shapes, weights and sizes of Zinc and Aluminium anodes are fabricated on order. Our supply comes with inspection and calculation of anodes required and diagram for optimum lay out where requested. Coatings The Group stocks and markets very high performance coatings for the marine, offshore, military and industrial sectors. These NASA tested coatings address difficult applications like, thermal barriers, static resistance, fire retardants, oil, chemical, acid, animal waste and solvent resistance, UV resistance, humidity resistance, wet surface applications, ecologically friendly pesticide control, protection from salt penetration in concrete, and so on. These coatings meet or beat volatile organic compounds (VOC) standards laid down by even the most stringent states like California, U.S.A. The coatings are USDA and AWWA (American Water Works Association) compliant for use in food service areas and potable water tanks. Desludging The is quoted on a per tone rate, and applies to all disposal material that was in the tank and was brought up on deck, including oil that had to be baled out. It does not include sludge disposal. Disposal can also be arranged if the vessel is in the U.A.E. for which special arrangements have to be made with the authorities in advance, and will be quoted for on the spot. Drydocking The Group markets or acts as middle east representative for major shiprepair yards in the Black Sea, Caribbean, China, West Africa, Mediterranean, North Europe, Singapore, and the U.S. East & West Coasts, and may solicit business from unrepresented areas. This includes assistance with forwarding the repair spec, helping with clarifications on the quotation, firming up stem with the yard, ensuring that the attending Superintendent is well received, helping resolve any differences between the Owner and the Yard on the bill and other similar assistance that will help smoothen the process and make the Owner's experience with the yard a pleasant one. Mechanical Seals The Group is specially good at supplying high quality mechanical seals manufactured by specialists in India - for all applications ranging from small pumps and compressors to the largest Cargo Oil Pumps. New Spares The Group represents A&P Group for supply of all types of main and auxiliary machinery spares of West European origin. As Middle East agent for Sevastopol Shipyard the Group also has prompt access to spares of East European origin. As Middle East agent for CnC Marine Shanghai the group has access to spares for very old engines, specially Doxford engines, from China. The Group also supplies spares for machinery of Japanese origin through it's associates in Japan. Used and Unused Spares Through Nautilus™, Bombay the Group has the capability to obtain second hand used and unused spares from shipbreakers in India, including items like anchors and cables, pumps and generators, purifiers and turbochargers etc. These are usually inspected by a Marine Engineer before final sale. They are re-tested, rebalanced and re-certified by class whenever possible and required. Purifiers The Group used to market purifier spares obtained from Alfa Laval, India and smaller suppliers. The gorup continues to maintain good relations with them. Due to this past experience the Group, through Nautilus™ Bombay, is able to arrange the purchase of second hand Alfa Laval purifiers from shipbreakers in India for complete refurbishing and supply with one years consumable spares. There are three levels of supervisory staff available: Foreman , wwho is normally a Petty Officer i.e. an engine fitter or Pumpman depending on the type of work Junior Engineer , who normally has a Part A or a Deep Sea Engine Driver certificate; Senior Engineer , who has a minimum 2nd Class certificate. The Group also supplies prefabricated steel, as for instance, large diameter formed and welded waste disposal pipes for Cattle Carriers. These are blasted and coated with anti-rust primer and internally with urine and acid resisting coatings before supply.
