E.A. Bendix & Co. was founded by Erik A. Bendix in 1902 as a shipping and forwarding company. In the early days Bendix & Co. owned some small coasters, but their main activity was forwarding and Liner Agency. Both world wars meant a setback for Bendix, as the company in these early days was mainly representing British and American interests. Erik A. Bendix died in 1951 and his son Ralph E. Bendix became new director of Bendix until his death in 1972. In the periode from the late sixties until the present day Bendix & Co. obtained the agencies for a number of well known Shipping Lines, and the company was much engaged in the shift from the conventional days into the container age. danish shipping service is our motto and we serve all danish shippers, importers and forwarding agents throughout Denmark.
