Nagasaki Port Details Position Latitude 32 45' North Longitude 129 52' East Pilotage Not compulsory; but necessary unless Master well acquainted with locality. Pilot embarks in vicinity of loshima Lighthouse, Lat. 32 43'3"North; Long. 129 46'7" East. Pilot is available any time, subject to adequate notice (No VHF system). All communications with pilot should be made through agents. Pilot boat carries Int'l signals. "G" flag in daytime and "MORSE" signals at night to call pilot. Entering into Megami anchorage is not permitted. Berthing: During daytime only, except the harbour master specially allows for emergency purpose. Departure: No restrictions from buoy and/or wharf including oil terminals subject to adequate notice to harbour master. Tidal Range/Channel Maximum (+) 3.00 metres; Minimum (-) 0.05 metre Pratique Formalities will be carried out at the anchorage. Sea area surrounded by the following lines: (1) From Senbonyama beacon to Megami beacon. (2) From Megami beacon to Naginata Lighthouse. For huge type of vessel such VLCC and/or ore carries which are not allowed to stay at the above quarantine anchorage, harbour division No. 3 by harbour master. Free Pratique formalities will be carried out at roadstead, harbour div. No. 6 by application to quarantine authorities. Radio Pratique and Sanitary Inspection: Both available. Limitation No limit Shore Gears Repair Facilities: The shipyards and various repair shops are capable of carrying out all kinds of ship fitting-out and repairwork. Grain Fitting: Unavailable Hold Cleaning Facilities: Available Floating Cranes: Available 1 x 120 t. Log Gangs: Available Water Supply Available from shore and by barge. (Capacity of water barge: 1 x 200t) Bunkers Domestic and Bonded oil are available with 3 to 5 days advance notice.
