Map Ta Phut Industrial Port Details The Map Ta Phut Port is located in the province of Rayong, and is situated on the Gulf of Thailand on a stretch of east-west oriented coastline The site is approximately 220 km by road from Bangkok and effectively faces open sea to the South. The primary purpose of the Map Ta Phut Port is to serve the immediate needs to the heavy industries and petrochemical complex as well as to allow possibilities for expansion reflecting future industrial requirements. LOCATION: This seaport is located at the eastern part of the gulf of Thailand and it is sheltered by a breakwater. General Location Lat 12 degree 40 N, Long 101 degree 10 E. Pilot pick up Lat 12 degree 36' N., Long 101 degree 10' E. Anchorage position Lat 12 degree 35' N., Long 101 degree 13.5' E. APPROACHES: The distance from the Fairway Buoy to the harbour's Western breakwater is 2 nautical miles. The minimum width of the approach channel is 250 m. and the water depth is 12.m reduced to LLW. Tidal Conditions: HAT + 3.5 m. MHHW + 3.0 m. MHW + 2.8 m. MSL + 2.2 m. MLW + 1.6 m. MLLW + 1.4 m. LAT + 0.5 m. CD + / - 0.0 m. Wind Direction: Period Prodominant Directions November to January N.E and variable Febraury to March Sounth and East April Variable June to October S.W. Monsoon PORT WORKING HOURS. All berth and jetties in Map ta phut work 7 days a week 24 hours day. PILOT AND TUGS. Government pilot and tugs are compulsory and Map ta phut for vessel GRT over 500. Pilot picks up position as per above and can be contact by VHF channel 14 and 16. Agent duties to arrange apply for tugs and pilot minimum 24 hours before vessel berthing. BERTHS AND TERMINAL RESTRICTION Berth and terminal restriction will be varies between each berth and terminals which as follow: DRY CARGO BERTH. Thai Prosperity Terminal: (TPT) -This is multipurpose for dry cargo berth run by The Prosperity Terminal Co., Ltd. Which operation general cargo and heavy lift/ bulky/length cargo. Berth can accommodate vessel up to 200 m LOA with Max. Draft 12 m SSW. National fertilize Corp. Berth (NFC) - This is a bulk/liquid terminal belong to National Fertilize Corp. which can load/discharge dry bulk and liquid cargo (Ammonia). Berth can accommodate vessel up to 200 m LOA with Max. Draft 10 M SSW Max. Beam 31 m. Rayong Bulk Terminal (RBT) - This is a dry bulk terminal Joint venture between Siam Cement Group and National Fertilize Corp. Total quay length 1026m. And can accommodate vessel up to panamax size with max draft 12.5 m. OIL AND LIQUID CARGO TERMINAL. National Petrochemical Public company limited. (NPC) - This liquid bulk terminal belongs to National Petrochemical Public company limited. There are 2 berths at NPC which restriction as follow: Jetty DWt LOA Max Draft Min Max Min Max NPC1 1000 9000 60 170 8.5 m NPC2 8000 35000 110 200 12.5 m Remarks: Vessel with size over and under above limit may be allow to enter berth case by case basis with agreement for terminal operator. The Thai Tank Terminal. (TTT) - This liquid bulk terminal belongs to IEAT and operates by Messrs. The Thai Tank Terminal whooperate 2 jetties with following restriction. Jetty DWT LOA Max Draft TTT 1 - 200 m. 12 m TTT 2 - 200 m. 12 m. The Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co., Ltd. (MTT) - This liquid bulk terminal belongs to IEAT and operates by ms. Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co., Ltd., who operate 2 jetties with following restriction. Jetty Beam LOA Max Draft MTT 1 46 m 85 m. 260 m. 12 m. MTT 2 30 m 60 m. 180 m. 12 m. Alliance Refining Company Limited. (ARC) - Alliance Refining Jetty belongs to Alliance Refining Company Limited, which is a joint venture company between Caltex and Shell. They operate refinery therefore importing Crude, Fuel Oil and MTBE, Condensate, Heavy Gas Oil, Sweet Naphtha and exporting High speed diesel and fuel oil, premium and regular mogas, reformate, Chemical naphtha, Asphalt, LPG, Jet A-1.
